A unique collection of old film provides a fascinating look back at life in Gosport and Fareham from the 1920’s to the 1970’s.
Among the many film highlights are the opening of the War Memorial Hospital in 1923, rush hour on the Gosport Ferry in 1934, nostalgic views of the old own in the 1950’s, the last horse-drawn milk round in Fareham, crossing ‘Pneumonia Bridge’ in the 1960’s, demolition of Lee Tower, and Gosport’s Jubilee celebrations in 1977.
Many of the events shown are brought to life with reports of the time from the Portsmouth News.
